As the very name suggests MITHAI is not just an iconic sweet shop but also one of the most trusted names in traditional Bengali sweets. Every corner of the country knows us today for our Mishti Doi and Nalen Gurer Rasogolla. Mithai started as a single sweet shop in the year 1955 by four brothers namely Late Debendra Kumar Ghosh, Late Amarendra Kumar Ghosh, Late Dhirendra Kumar Ghosh & Sachindra Kumar Ghosh. The four brothers started the sweetmeat business in their home town Katwa in Bardhaman district and later on moved on to Kolkata in the year 1955.

Riding on the quality rocket for years, today our quality serves as a benchmark for the sweet industry. Our product range boasts of chena sandesh of variety of flavours, Rasogolla, Dahi both sweet and plain variety, Rasomalai, Rabri and so on in sweets to Singara, Khasta kachuri, Padma Nimkin (Matti) and Radhaballavi in snacks. Latest machinery oriented production coupled with intricate hand finish is a speciality of our products and undergo every possible innovation. A result of such innovation is our Sugar free range. To meet the demand of current health conscious generation MITHAI has come out with a range of sugar free low fat sandesh which includes baked ice-cream sandesh (Available only in summer) also a favourite of our diabetic customers in our every sweet shop or sweet store in Kolkata, India.

And how can one forget about our seasonal delicacy – NALEN GUR. During the winter months we serve our rabri, sandesh, rasomalai and rasogolla made of nalen gur in every sweet store of ours. This seasonal delicacy of ours has not only a wide acceptance but also brought us fame from all parts of the country and even abroad and has got us excellent feedback from various circles.

Even today our customers continue being our biggest achievements as well as source of inspiration to move forward in terms of developments. It’s because of their support that MITHAI today has moved into corporate sectors as well. The third generation business today takes care of corporate sweetmeat requirements also in the form of our cake sandesh with corporate branding and packaging apart from serving the sweet tooth buds of various national as well as international delegates in different star hotels and international caterings.

With progress of time, the taste and preferences have undergone a sharp change. What was just a chain of sweet shops a few years back is now also an online sweet shop in the vast digital platform serving taste buds of many pan India as well as internationally. MITHA is today on an expansion spree. With three showrooms in Kolkata one being in Beckbagan which is a landmark today, another one being in Gariahat and the third one being newly opened at The Bengal Misti Hub, New Town, Rajarhat, the company plans to open up more stores and reach more customers in the next couple of years the third generation with fresh blood being active participants in the same and has also stepped into online selling of products locally, nationally as well as internationally.
